The Red Devils have already won away to Manchester City in this competition, prevailing 3-2 in the previous round, but they face another difficult task against the Reds, who had a much more comfortable game in round three, thrashing Oldham Athletic 5-1. The sides have already met here in the Premier League this term, with the match ending 1-1 after Javier Hernandez cancelled out Steven Gerrard's opener. However, Kenny Dalglish's hosts will be looking to avoid a similar result on this occasion as it would mean the tie having to be settled by a replay at Old Trafford.
